Your donation to the East Merced RCD can make a difference!  We cannot do this work without you!  You can help us:

  • get the youth outdoors and provide learning experiences that teach the importance of California Water Resources and Stewardship

  • remove invasive plants such as giant cane from the rivers

  • plant native trees, shrubs and grasses to restore habitat for wildlife and create riparian buffer zones along the river corridor;

  • work with landowners to stabilize eroding river banks using biological revetment techniques;

  • create a citizen clean water team to monitor water quality and perform river cleanups.

The EMRCD is a not-for-profit, special district 170(c)(1), that solely operates on donations, grants, contracts and special fundraising events. It is governed by a Board of Directors, and quality staff, to ensure all community-based efforts help Merced County.

In accordance with California SB 272, the EMRCD provides a list of “enterprise” systems that are used across multiple departments or that contain information collected about the public and are systems that serve as original sources of data within an agency.
